New Bar menu at Lunchtimes
In response to customer demand we have introduced a new lunchtime bar menu at Just St James. The menu offers a choice of dishes ranging from Smoked Salmon, to a Steak sandwich or Lancashire lamb Pie, all served in our elegant lounge between 10.30am and 6pm.

Winter warmer cocktails in Just St James
Our Bar manager Marco and his team of barmen have created a selection of warming cocktails to beat off the winter freeze. These include Hot Buttered Rum, the classic Whisky Toddy and a fiery Cognac Blazer. So forget all about the cold outside and banish the winter blues at Just St James.

I was bowled over by the sheer artistry that had gone into making the cakes. The sandwiches were slender and fine - smoked salmon, egg mayo, cucumber and cream cheese - the scone, deliciously fruity and with just the right slab of clotted cream, but the cakes. Oh my actual God! Why didn't someone tell me you could make milles feuilles out of a Victoria sponge

Peter Gladwin cooks for Heroes
Executive Chef, Peter Gladwin, helped launch a new charity cookery book, " Food for Heroes", on Armed Forces Day recently. The book whose contributors include many famous personalities, including the Prime Minister, Dame Kelly Holmes, Sir Steve Redgrave, Bruce Forsyth, were all asked who their hero was and why and then asked to produce a recipe they would cook for them.
Peter, who also contributed, launched the book with a cookery demonstration featuring several of the recipes from celebrities.
The book which costs £14.99 will help raise funds for wounded ex-service men and women and over 2/3 of the purchase price will go to the charity. For more information click on www.foodforheroes.co.uk

As part of our commitment to source the best seasonal and local produce we are delighted to introduce our Best of British menu. This menu changes every fortnight to reflect the changes in the season and on each menu we will be featuring some of our specialist British suppliers.
The Best of British menu can be booked online at a special price of £18.50 for two courses or £23.50 for three courses for either lunch or dinner.

Housed in an Edwardian banking hall, Just St James had a lot going for it, but following a major refurbishment it looks a little bit better. A new head chef and menu have upped the ante on the food front.

The premises are wonderful and although we went very early there was still a buzz in Just St. James due to the bar which created a nice ambience. Food, service and value for money were excellent and the wine list was reasonably priced. Will definitely go again.

I just wanted to let you know that we had a great time at our Christmas lunch yesterday. the food was fantastic as were the waiting staff. Everyone had such a great day, I was told by many that it was the best Christmas party in years.
